Year 3 of “Pay off the Mortgage in 5 years” and I have paid off £3k (I had to spend £2k on a new to me car). This brings my total to £15k overpayment in 3 years. Feeling chuffed with myself I was just about to start year 4 planning/ideas when the spanner was well and truly thrown – I was made redundant :( (well technically it's still in process)
Soooo time for new plans once I know what I have to play with, in the mean time I am making the most of having some well deserved time off!! Catching up with housework, decluttering, daily walks, craft projects.....
One good thing to come of this is that Sakuma, one of our cats was taken seriously ill and very nearly died, being off allowed me the time to be with him, take him to all the vet appointments and get him the specialist help required. He's now back home recuperating, will require 3-4 months of antibiotics and a possible operation before he is fully recovered but he is recovering. We are so thankful.
Every cloud has a silver lining :)
